Kaiser Mentorship Pods Program
The Kaiser Mentorship Pods Program, created through a partnership between STEM Academy of Hollywood, the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM), and the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC), is a year-long program focused on building a network of support for high school students who aspire to enter any of a multitude of healthcare professions. Through multilayered mentorship, peer support, active learning in medical settings, career exposure, and professional development, this program is dedicated to building long lasting relationships that will help to launch students into medical careers. The students will participate in virtual and in-person workshops, communicate with their mentors in person and via email and engage in networking events all with a view to developing their interpersonal and professional skills.
